Every great institution starts with a single idea. Ours began with a group of neighbours who believed that disciplined saving could build lasting wealth, and chose to do it with justice and integrity.
- Origins
It began with a njangi
GloWViCC PLC sprouted from a savings group called Common Wealth. Members met every third Sunday at Mr. Nkam Nelson's compound in Rendezvous quarter, Bamenda, for regular savings. Mr. Nkam Linus foresaw that this njangi could one day become a financial power house.
- 2016
A vision takes shape
Possessed by the idea, President Mr. Nkam Ignatius Muluh turned the vision into a concrete plan, heavily endorsed by the members. The name Global Wealth Visionary Credit Company (GloWViCC) was adopted unanimously, giving the vision flesh.
- 2017
The foundation is laid
A seven-member Think Tank committee mapped the roadmap and rallied support nationwide and across the diaspora, kick-starting the first branch at Metta Quarter, Bamenda. At the first constituent assembly on 21 January 2017, the promoters became the company's first Board, and the motto “Justice in Business, Trusting in God” was adopted by consensus.
- 2018
Licensed and open for business
Accredited by COBAC and the Ministry of Finance to operate as a Category 2 Microfinance and Public Limited Company. Uniquely, the entire 541,000,000 FCFA share capital was fully subscribed and paid at formation. GloWViCC PLC opened for business on 29 July 2018.
- 2019
Rapid expansion across regions
By December 2019, four new branches joined the network, extending our reach into three more regions of Cameroon (Centre, South West and Littoral) with branches in Yaoundé, Douala Bonaberi, Douala Akwa and Buea.
- 2020
Capital doubled in record time
Driven by rapid growth, the Board called to raise the share capital to 1,000,000,000 FCFA at the January 2020 AGM. Remarkably, it was fully paid within a single year.
A proven track record
Within its first three years, GloWViCC PLC earned wide endorsement, demystifying discrepancies in the financial sector and standing out across the CEMAC region.
